Celebrating Women in Trades 2025

On Friday, 4th April, we proudly hosted an incredible International Women’s Day event - and what a night it was! With more than 70 passionate attendees coming together to support, celebrate, and empower women in the trades, the energy in the room was nothing short of inspiring.

The evening kicked off with a warm welcome and a strong sense of community as people from across the industry connected over shared goals and stories. One of the many highlights was a powerful speech by our very own Head Trainer, Ruby Harrison, who spoke passionately about the progress being made and the importance of continuing to break down barriers for women in traditionally male-dominated industries.

We were deeply honoured to also hear from the phenomenal Mia Hoppe, who moved the entire room with her heartfelt story. Mia shared her courageous journey through beating cancer, overcoming self-doubt, and defying every expectation to build her now multi-million-dollar construction company, Jesari Building Group. Her resilience and success are a true testament to the strength and determination of women in trades - and a reminder of what’s possible when we believe in ourselves.

Throughout the night, we kept the energy high with fun, interactive games including a Timeline Race and a Trades-themed Quiz, getting everyone involved, chatting, and learning. We wrapped up with a fantastic raffle and plenty of laughs, leaving everyone smiling and already looking forward to next year.
